Mika Kallio: 2010 season review
motogp.com looks back over the campaign of each premier class rider with a video which compiles the most pivotal moments of their year.
After a debut season in the MotoGP class that saw Mika Kallio take the 2009 Rookie of the Year award, 2010 held great hopes for the Finn of the Pramac Racing team. It was a campaign which did not fulfil his or his team’s hopes however, as he ended the season in 17th position.
A crash in the opening race in Qatar was the start of a season which proved to be a difficult one for Kallio, whose best result was an impressive seventh position from 17th on the starting grid at Jerez in Round 2. Another crash at Le Mans resulted in a shoulder injury that affected him throughout the year, and which eventually saw Carlos Checa stand in for the final two races.
Kallio will hope for a return to luckier ways in the Moto2 class with Marc VDS Racing next year, and in the attached video you can review his 2010 season.
