Abraham leads final Moto2 session

Karel Abraham was the quickest rider in the final session prior to Sunday’s Moto2 race at Valencia, as the Cardion ab Motoracing rider prepared for his final ride in the class before his move up to MotoGP next season.
With a lap of 1’37.070 the Czech rider was nine-hundredths of a second faster than Scott Redding (Marc VDS Racing) in second position, with Julián Simón (Mapfre Aspar), Alex de Angelis (JiR Moto2) and Tom Lüthi (Interwetten Moriwaki) completing a top five separated by under two-tenths.
Carmelo Morales (Racing Team Germany) was sixth, with Kenan Sofuoglu – fresh from the news of a permanent deal for 2011 with Technomag-CIP – seventh and Stefan Bradl (Viessmann Kiefer Racing) eighth.
Andrea Iannone (Fimmco Speed Up), who is locked in a battle with Simón for runner-up spot in the Championship, ended the session in ninth position. The Moto2 race is due to start at 12.15pm.
