Noyes feels well prepared for Qatar
Moto2™ is powered byThe American of the Jack&Jones by Antonio Banderas team has been delighted with how pre-season has gone with his new team, ahead of his World Championship debut in the new Moto2 category.
2010 presents the next stage in Kenny Noyes’ career, and after a productive pre-season in preparation for his World Championship debut in the Moto2 class the American rider feels ready to take on the challenge.
Consistently in and around the top times at the three Official pre-season Tests, Noyes finished the most recent at Jerez as the fifth fastest of the three days on his Promoharris machine of the Jack&Jones by Antonio Banderas team. That left him in an optimistic frame of mind as he assessed the lead-up to the start of the campaign.
“Pre-season’s gone really well, I’m very happy with the team and how the Jack&Jones guys have been working every day to give me the best bike,” Noyes stated. “I think we’ve learned a lot, and I have too about the way these Moto2 bikes are ridden. I’ve been adapting my style to having less power and higher corner speeds, and in general we’re just really happy with the way it’s gone. Now we can’t wait to get to Qatar.”
He continued: “You can always use three more days (of Testing) but I think we have a good package and I think everybody else does too. Most of the top teams are going to be really competitive so I think it’s going to be a really exciting class, and we just hope to be at the front of it.”
With the start of the season now just over a week away, Noyes is anticipating an exciting first season in Moto2.
“We’re going to have to take it race by race, and we should be up front at some tracks. Other tracks that we don’t have any experience on might be a little more difficult,” he observed. “I don’t think we have any expectations – just go out and do the best we can and give it everything we have.”
