Tourism Tenerife sponsors Pons Racing for 2010

Sergio Gadea and Axel Pons will compete in the new Moto2 World Championship in 2010 in the renamed Tenerife 40 Pons team. The Canary Island will be the main sponsor of the team this year after an agreement was reached between the three parties involved: GDM (Media Management), Pons Racing and Tourism Tenerife.

The aim of the team’s new sponsor in Moto2 is to promote the Island’s attraction as a holiday destination across the globe, at all 18 venues of the MotoGP World Championship.

The Spanish Tenerife 40 Pons team will carry the name and logo of the Island prominently on the fairings of their bikes, as well as the leathers and helmets of both riders, team trucks and other aspects of the team set-up. The name of the Island will always be displayed in blue, which is the corporate colour of the Tenerife brand.
