A record attendance of 60,000 fans were present at the World Ducati Week 2010 at the Misano circuit from last Thursday to Sunday, in a celebration which brought together fans of the Bologna factory from 29 nations across five continents in a festival of sound, noise and excitement.

In addition to the large presence of Italian fans, dedicated aficionados from as far and wide as Europe, USA, Australia, Russia, India, Brazil, China, Malaysia and even Gabon and Nepal gathered to display their passion for the Ducati brand.

The sun-soaked four days reached a climax on Sunday with a spectacular knock-out drag race competition that involved Ducati riders, both MotoGP and superbike, on the Ducati Streetfighter bike. Battaini, Bayliss, Byrne, Checa, Fabrizio, Haga, Hayden and Stoner put on a fantastic show for the enthusiastic crowd.

Haga eventually triumphed in a photo finish, just fractionally ahead of Hayden, with Bayliss and Stoner in third and fourth, delighting the fans who watched on as the riders played up to them.
