Pramac Racing aiming to fight back in Jerez

Pramac Racing are hoping for a successful comeback this weekend in Jerez after the first round of the MotoGP season in Qatar. Pramac Racing’s Randy de Puniet and Loris Capirossi both failed to finish the opening race after a crash on lap one.

Capirossi and de Puniet will be looking to make amends in this weekend’s Gran Premio bwin de España which see’s the first of four races to be held in Spain for the 2011 World Championship. Pramac Racing scored a podium finish with Max Biaggi back in 2003 at Jerez and it’s also the circuit which saw Capirossi take victory in 2006. The best result here for de Puniet was fourth place in 2009.

”The disappointment of Qatar has now gone, I am just focusing on the next race. For Jerez, I hope that luck is on our side as we have had so many problems. Apart from the blow to my hand from Losail and the control of my right arm, I should be 100%, I feel fine. Jerez is a track of I’ve always enjoyed in the past and the bike has improved, so I remain confident.

Randy de Puniet

It wasn’t easy being so unlucky at the first race. However, we move on from Qatar and we look for redemption at Jerez, which is a circuit I know well. I have not lost sight of my goals. I think we need to improve the feeling with the bike, but we are making progress and we need to continue in this manner.
