Silverstone launches ‘British Grand Prix: Back The Brits’ campaign

Silverstone MD Richard Phillips flew out to Jerez last week to lend his support to the eight British riders and launch the ‘British Grand Prix: Back The Brits’ campaign.

The eight British riders – Cal Crutchlow (MotoGP), Bradley Smith, Scott Redding, Kev Coghlan (all Moto2), Danny Kent, Danny Webb, Taylor MacKenzie and Harry Stafford (all 125cc) – supported the ‘Back The Brits’ campaign when they came together for a photocall in Jerez, helping to promote the round that they’re all looking forward to most – the British Grand Prix at Silverstone on 10-12 June.

Speaking at the launch of the ‘Back The Brits’ campaign Richard Phillips said, “It’s fantastic that we’ve got eight British riders to get behind. While Bradley (Smith), Scott (Redding) and Danny Webb all raced at Silverstone last year, the British Grand Prix will be a new experience for the other riders. That said, Cal won both World Superbike races on the GP circuit last year, so he will be more confident going into his home race than any other round. One thing’s for sure – there will a fantastic atmosphere at Silverstone and they can expect a rapturous reception from their home crowd.”
