The Repsol Honda team riders support Honda Safety’s activities

Repsol Honda’s team riders, Casey Stoner and Andrea Dovizioso will join their partner Dani Pedrosa from this season on, in the support actions for the Safety of bike riders.

Just like Dani did during all the national Grand Prix of last season, the three Repsol Honda riders will wear the “Honda Safety” logotype on the fairing of their RC212V during the four Grand Prix of this year, starting by the GP of Spain that took place in Jerez the weekend from the 1st to the 3rd of April.

The logotype, designed by Honda Montesa SA for all the safety actions, reflects graphically Honda’s complete implication in this area. The logotype draws three hands that symbolize the three great areas of Honda Safety: Preventive (Riders formation), Active (Technologies to avoid accidents) and Passive (Elements to reduce the consequences of accidents). These three hands protect and rotate around two riders that symbolize parents and children, the present and the future generations of riders.

Safety is one of the main pillars of the Japanese multinational in the area of Social Responsibility. Even in 1970, Honda already created in Japan the Traffic Safety Promotion Division. Since then, Honda has been dedicated to train riders and encourage responsible driving, an activity that is highlighted by the creation of Honda’s Safety Institute, a European referent designed exclusively for riders formation.
