Honda completes 2012 prototype shakedown

Honda completes 2012 prototype shakedown

The Japanese factory's machine, which is in development for next season, was out on track at Suzuka last week.

Honda completed a private Test at the Suzuka Circuit on April 14th and 15th, as the Japanese factory completed a shakedown of its new prototype in preparation for the 2012 season.

Present at the Japanese circuit for the two days were HRC Test riders Kousuke Akiyoshi and Tady Okada, who were charged with taking the new machine through its paces.

With the introduction of a new 1000cc maximum engine capacity for the start of next season, factories are already well into the development process for their new machines. Ducati completed a first run-out of the GP12 at Jerez at the start of the month, and Jorge Lorenzo recently revealed that he is set to try out the new version Yamaha M1 after the Mugello GP in July.
