Elías happy with Test progress

The LCR Honda rider reviewed the one-day meet at the Estoril circuit.

Following on from the action of Sunday’s Estoril GP the premier class riders and teams stayed at the Portuguese track for an additional day of testing on Monday.

LCR Honda MotoGP rider Toni Elías completed 108 laps on his RC212V, with the aim of finding a solution for the rear grip problem which has prevented him from showing his true potential in the first three rounds of the season. After Sunday’s positive 11th place, the Catalan rider and his squad spent one more intense day of work on track adjusting the Honda machinery, posting the 13th quickest lap time of 1’38.412.

Toni Elías
“I am happy about the further improvements we made today. We worked hard with the guys, completing 108 laps, and now we are closer to the top seven. I have improved my race lap time by one second and this gives me further motivation. We have concentrated on the suspension and now the bike is more stable.”
