Sport: Terol calls his bike ‘Marisol’

Everybody knows that riders have their own unique superstitions, and that some even name their bikes. In an interview published in Sport, current 125 World Championship leader Nico Terol confesses that he has baptised his Aprilia machine ‘Marisol’. “I like it. It’s a gracious name and when I say it, it makes me happy,” he said.

Terol, whose form has seen him win the opening three rounds of the season and finish second at Le Mans over the weekend, added: “Last year Marc (Márquez), Pol (Espargaró) and I were the frontrunners in a very intense season, with a battle in every race which led to the fight for the title going down to the last round of the season. This year there are also strong rivals but I knew that if I stayed for another year I would have a big chance to accomplish my dream, leaving the 125 class as Champion.”
