Viñales tops warm up at Sachsenring

Pole man Maverick Viñales led the 20 minute warm up morning session ahead of the eni Motorrad Grand Prix Deutschland race at Sachsenring.

Blusens by Paris Hilton Racing Team rider Viñales lead most of the twenty minute 125cc warm up session, setting a fast lap of 1’28.217. The Spaniard was 0.041s ahead of Nicolas Terol (Bankia Aspar), who will start in the fourth spot on the grid for the race, and 0.358s faster than Johann Zarco (Avant-AirAsia-Ajo) who starts on the second row in sixth.

The highest-placed German rider in qualifying, Jonas Folger (Red Bull Ajo Motorsport) had the fourth quickest lap on the morning timesheet, and Luis Salom (RW Racing GP), who starts from the front row for the second race in succession after previously never having had a front row start, was fifth. Second row starter Sergio Gadea (Blusens by Paris Hilton Racing Team) was sixth while Héctor Faubel (Bankia Aspar) posted the seventh fastest lap.

The only two crashes of the session were those of Marcel Schrötter (Mahindra Racing) and Marvin Fritz (LHF Project Racing).

The 125cc race at Sachsenring begins at 11:00 and is scheduled for 27 laps.
