Moto3 motorcycles debut in the Road Racing European Championship

Motorcycles from the new Moto 3 category may participate in the 2011 Road Racing European Championship, which will take place at the Circuito de Albacete on October 9.

Moto3 will run together with the 125cc GP bikes as one class. They will receive the same classification, points and prizes, with no distinctions being made in the finishing order.

The entries for the European Championship must be sent before the 23rd of September, 2011 to the Secretariat of RFME. Registration forms can be downloaded at: www.europeanchamp.com/how-to-apply.

Rules for the Supersport 600cc class have been changed significantly from last year. These changes make participation in this class more affordable, as the bikes are now required to be very close to production models.

All information related to rules and technical regulations for the European Championship, as well as other information of interest can be found at the following two websites: www.europeanchamp.com/regulations and www.uem-moto.eu
