Moto2 riders test at Valencia

A number of teams took advantage of track time at the World Championship circuit to prepare themselves for the final five rounds of the 2011 season.

In preparation for the final five rounds of the 2011 Moto2 World Championship a number of teams used the Valencia circuit at various stages across Saturday, Sunday and Monday in a three-day test.

Marc Márquez (Team CatalunyaCaixa Repsol), currently second in the Championship standings, used all three days as he ran through a range of different set-ups on his Suter machine.

“We’ve had three intense days of work here and leave satisfied with everything we’ve done,” said Márquez, who sits 23 points behind Championship leader Stefan Bradl. “We worked hard to get ready for this weekend’s GP at Aragón and have completed a lot of laps at this circuit which will be very helpful come the final race of the season here.”

Also present to take advantage of some of the available track time were Marc VDS Racing pair Scott Redding and Mika Kallio, Gresini Racing riders Yuki Takahashi and Michele Pirro, Thomas Lüthi (Interwetten Paddock Moto2), Alex de Angelis (JiR Moto2) and Blusens-STX pair Esteve Rabat and Kenny Noyes.
