Márquez tops Misano morning session

The Team CatalunyaCaixa Repsol led the Moto2 warm up ahead of the race on Sunday morning, with Andrea Iannone and Pol Espargaró following second and third in the times.

Second place starter Marc Márquez was fastest in the warm but overcast morning session, posting a lap of 1’38.861. The Spaniard, who just missed out on pole position in qualifying yesterday by 0.256s, was0.089s ahead of Speed Master rider Iannone, who had a crash in qualifying and thus will start the race from seventh on the grid.

Third row starter Pol Espargaró (HP Tuenti Speed Up) was third on the leader board with a time of 1'39.104, in front of Scott Redding (Marc VDS Racing) who starts from the head of the second row.

Mika Kallio (Marc VDS Racing) posted the fifth fastest time in the warm up after qualifying down in 26th position, the Finnish rider outpaced Aleix Espargaró (Pons HP 40) who starts from the fourth row, and San Marino local Alex De Angelis (JiR Moto2) who was seventh in the warm up. Rounding out the top ten in the times were Julian Simon (Mapfre Aspar Team Moto2), Thomas Lüthi (Interwetten Paddock Moto2) and Esteve Rabat (Blusens-STX).

Stefan Bradl (Viessmann Kiefer Racing), who will start from pole position, was 13th in the session, while third place starter Yuki Takahashi (Gresini Racing) was 15th.
