The Bankia Aspar rider clocked the top time in the 20 minute opening warm up ahead of the action on Sunday at Motegi.

Nicolas Terol led a cloudy and cool 125cc warm up session ahead of the Grand Prix of Japan with a quickest lap of 1’59.365 putting him on top of the pile, followed by Maverick Viñales (Blusens by Paris Hilton Racing Team) one tenth of a second behind with pole position starter Johann Zarco (Avant-AirAsia-Ajo) bringing up third in the timings.

Front row starter Héctor Faubel (Bankia Aspar) was fourth fastest, followed by Alberto Moncayo (Team Andalucía Banca Cívica) who will launch into the afternoon race from row two. Luis Salom (RW Racing GP), recovered from his crash in qualifying yesterday, completed the top six.

Third row starters Jonas Folger (Red Bull Ajo Motorsport) and Adrián Martín (Bankia Aspar) marked the seventh and eighth quickest laps, with Danny Kent (Red Bull Ajo Motorsport) and Sandro Cortese (Intact Racing Team Germany) rounding out the top ten.

The outing had two crashes, those of Takehiro Yamamoto (Team Nobby) and Jun Ohnishi (Project u 7C HARC) who collided together in turn 11.
