Alzamora to field new Moto3 project with Rins and Oliveira

The Monlau outfit headed by Emilio Alzamora will enter the World Championship with Marc Márquez at the controls in the Moto2 category, and will expand into the new Moto3 category with riders Alex Rins and Miguel Oliveira.

In addition to the Moto2 class which will feature Team CatalunyaCaixa Repsol’s Moto2 Rookie of the Year, Marc Márquez, the team also announced plans to expand into the new Moto3 category.

Winner of the 2011 CEV Buckler 125cc Championship, 15 year old Alex Rins, and the promising two time CEV Buckler 125cc race winner, 16 year old Miguel Oliveira, will comprise the Monlau Moto3 outfit.

In addition, Alex Marquez, brother of 125cc World Champion Marc, will participate in several World Championship races as a wild card. Alex Marquez finished 2011 as CEV Buckler 125cc runner-up and will use the wild card opportunities to rub shoulders with the best of the best, with the goal of becoming Moto3 CEV Buckler champion in 2012.
