The Bankia Aspar rider was released from hospital in Valencia on Monday after being admitted following his crash in Sunday’s 125cc Gran Premio de Aragón.
Héctor Faubel was released from hospital in Valencia at midday on Monday, having been admitted following a crash during the Gran Premio de Aragón. The Spaniard was fighting for second position in the race when he crashed going into the final corner, and was initially taken to Alcañiz hospital nearby immediately afterwards having sustained bruising to his neck.
After tests in Alcañiz, Faubel was transferred to the 9 de Octubre hospital in Valencia, where he was further examined by Dr. Vila. Faubel spent the night in the hospital and on Monday morning underwent an MRI scan, and was later diagnosed with mild whiplash and a slight vertebra compression. Faubel was later able to leave the hospital, on foot, and will now spend the next few days recovering before starting a light physical exercise programme.
Faubel’s team expects the 28 year-old to be fit for the forthcoming Grand Prix of Japan, which takes place from September 30th-October 2nd.
