The third and final day of the Moto2 meet at the Valencia circuit brought matters to a close on Friday, with the weather again a major factor.

Rain showers at Valencia on Friday made it difficult for Moto2 riders to establish a regular working pattern on the final day of the private Test, but five teams were able to make some headway at the Spanish circuit in spite of the weather.

British rider Gino Rea (Gresini Racing) marked the fastest unofficial time along with Italian Claudio Corti, on a day which started with a dry track. However, rain arrived mid-morning and disrupted proceedings, and then a bout of sunshine at midday helped partially dry the track before another downpour an hour before the scheduled end of session brought a premature close to the day's work.

Scott Redding and Mika Kallio were also both on track, as was Toni Elías on the day his 2012 plans with the Aspar Team were confirmed. The 2010 Moto2 Champion's new team-mate, 125cc title holder Nico Terol, also went out.

Unofficial lap times Friday (recorded by teams):
1.- Gino Rea, 1'36.4 (33 laps)
2- Claudio Corti, 1'36.4 (49 laps)
3.- Scott Redding 1'36.8 (56 laps)
4.- Mika Kallio, 1'37.1 (35 laps)
5.- Andrea Iannone, 1'37.4 (5 laps)
6.- Takaaki Nakagami, 1'37.5 (32 laps)
7.- Toni Elías, 1'38.3 (37 laps)
7.- Johann Zarco, 1'38.3 (62 laps)
9.- Nico Terol, 1'39.0 (41 laps)
