Márquez controls free practice on Saturday

The final practice for the weekend at Silverstone was held under sunshine and cold temperatures, with Marc Márquez (Team CatalunyaCaixa Repsol) setting a quick early pace, leading the first part of Moto2 practice until Bradl overtook him and held the lead with 15 minutes to go. Márquez regained control of the field in the last two minutes, finishing the session with a time of 2’08.547s, nearly two seconds faster than his best time yesterday and 0.341s faster than Bradl today.

Scott Redding posted a time of 2’09.035, bettering his leading time from yesterday by 0.775s, though the front runners this morning proved themselves faster and bumped his combined practice position down to third.

Randy Krummenacher (GP Team Switzerland Kiefer Racing) who was fastest in the wet yesterday was fourth quickest in FP3, with a time of 2’09.088, followed by Michele Pirro (Gresini Racing Moto2), who was able to better his times significantly after crashing out yesterday.

Claudio Corti (Italtrans Racing) moved to sixth with a time of 2’09.445 while Aleix Espargaró (Pons HP 40), who saw as high as fourth in the session, set a time of 2’09.555, moving him up to seventh in the combined practice times for the weekend.

Dominique Aegerter (Technomag-CIP) set the eighth fastest time, ahead of Thomas Lüthi (Interwetten Paddock Moto2) who moved up to ninth from the day's previous position of 21st with a time of 2’09.638, and Kenan Sofuoglu (Technomag-CIP), who was earlier running third in the practice times, finished just 0.022s behind the Swiss rider in tenth.
