Wilairot ready for Qatar after Jerez Test

The test focused on getting Wilairot comfortable with the bike and finding a base setting for the upcoming Moto2 race in Qatar. Although the main target of the final day was not to look for a great result Wilairot is going back home with a best lap of 1’45.204, two-tenths faster than his best lap of last year.

“My feelings along the weekend have been improving progressively and today (Sunday) I saw that things went well, despite the fact I still think that I am at 60% of my level. Today we got a good setting to face the first GP of the season thanks to the job done with Simon Bleasdale (chief mechanic), we tested a lot of different settings and we have a lot of information, but the good thing is that we set the bike up correctly to go fast at the corners and in the straight. I still am quite far from the first rider and I know that we have to work a lot to be at the best level, but the important thing is that we did a good job and now we have only to focus in Qatar where the excitement of the competition is added.”
