Remembering the 125 class: 1995

motogp.com recalls the most memorable and exciting races of the last 20 years in the historical 125cc category.

motogp.com’s special section commemorating the retired 125cc class continues with the 1995 campaign, where again Japanese riders dominated the category. Aoki Haruchika and Kazuto Sakata claimed the top two positions in the Championship standings while Emilio Alzamora completed the top 3.

This time we take a look at the round in Jacarepaguá, Brazil, where Aoki finished third in a race won by his compatriot Tokudome, to become the youngest Japanese rider to win a world title at just 19 years old.
