Remembering the 125 class: 2003

motogp.com recalls the most memorable and exciting races of the last 20 years in the historical 125cc category.

motogp.com’s special section commemorating the retired 125cc class continues with the 12th installment. One of the seasons with the most talent on the grid, 2003 featured Dani Pedrosa, Hector Barberá, Andrea Dovizioso, Jorge Lorenzo and Casey Stoner as just a few of the young protagonists in the 125 class.

The championship ends in the hands of a surprising young rider, Dani Pedrosa (Honda) ahead of Alex de Angelis and Hector Barberá. Today's race, however, stars Jorge Lorenzo, who captured the top step of the podium in Rio de Janeiro on September 20.
