Abraham won’t race at Silverstone due to injuries

Injuries suffered at the Aragón MotoGP™ test last Wednesday are so serious that Karel Abraham will miss British Grand Prix at Silverstone.

Abraham had two examinations, after which doctors recommended he withdraw from the race. He suffered a fracture of the 5th and 3rd metacarpal of the left hand, as well as some deep cuts. Abraham should be ready for Dutch Grand Prix held at the Assen circuit on 30th June.

“I had two examinations at Clinica Mobile and at hospital and doctors highly recommended I not race. Otherwise the broken bones could dislocate and mean that surgery will be necessary. In this case my start in next races could be endangered and we can´t risk it. It´s really bad for us to lose a race but it´s certainly better than lose four races in July. I really hope I will be back on track after two weeks.”
