Espargaró fastest in Sachsenring morning warm-up

Espargaró fastest in Sachsenring morning warm-up

Under sunny skies at the eni Motorrad Grand Prix Deutschland at the Sachsenring it was Pons 40 HP Tuenti’s Pol Espargaró who led the way in morning warm-up ahead of Tom Lüthi and Marc Márquez.

The German circuit was for the first time this weekend bathed in glorious sunshine for the Moto2™ field, which saw Espargaró go quickest with a 1.25’335. Interwetten-Paddock’s Lüthi was clearly enjoying the conditions as he recorded his best position of the weekend in second, just under two tenths off the Spaniard.

Team CatalunyaCaixa Repsol’s pole-sitter Marc Márquez posted the third fastest time of the morning in front of Came IodaRacing Project’s Simone Corsi and NGM Mobile Forward Racing’s Alex de Angelis. Corsi and De Angelis, both on FTR chassis, are staking an ever greater claim for the chassis, which had been highly out of favour at the start of the season.

The warm-up saw only one crasher in the form of Espargaró’s teammate Axel Pons, who fortunately walked away unscathed.
