Folger fastest in wet Brno warm-up

For the morning warm-up of the bwin Grand Prix České republiky in Brno the Moto3™ riders were greeted with wet conditions for the first time this weekend with Mapfre Aspar Team Moto3’s Jonas Folger going fastest ahead of Zulfahmi Khairuddin and Adrian Martín.

Folger’s time of 2.22’464 on a soaking wet track laid down the benchmark for the race at 11am local time, which is also expected to be a wet affair. Behind him in second was AirAsia-SIC-Ajo’s Khairuddin, just under half a second off the pace, in front of JHK T-Shirt Laglisse’s Martín. Red Bull KTM Ajo’s Sandro Cortese and his teammate completed the top five. Blusens Avintia’s pole-sitter Maverick Viñales finished the session over three seconds off the top in 14th.

Ioda Team Italia’s Luigi Morciano ran off track half way through the session, dropping his bike in the gravel shortly afterwards. He was however able to remount and join the session once more.
