Redding on top on rain-hit Czech GP warm-up

In a rain-hit warm-up for the bwin Grand Prix České republiky it was Marc VDS Racing Team’s Scott Redding who set the pace ahead of Tom Lüthi and Marc Márquez.

The rain is predicted to stop before the Moto2™ race gets underway, yet it is expected to run in wet conditions. And it was Redding who looked in good form this morning with a 2.13’619, with Interwetten-Paddock’s Lüthi marginally behind. Team CatalunyaCaixa Repsol’s Márquez was over half a second off the top in third. The Tech 3 Racing duo of Bradley Smith and Xavier Siméon completed the top five.

Pons 40 HP Tuenti’s Pol Espargaró, who lines up on pole for this afternoon’s race, finished the session in 14th over two seconds off the top. There was only one faller in the form of Technomag-CIP’s Dominique Aegerter, who was however able to re-join the race with only minimal damage to his bike.
