MotoGP™ riders set for post-Brno test

MotoGP™ riders set for post-Brno test

Following a thrilling MotoGP™ race at the Czech round, approximately half of the premier-class grid will remain at the Brno track for the third official in-season test tomorrow.

The Repsol Honda Team, fresh off Dani Pedrosa’s victory, will line up at the test with the Spaniard, as well as Ten Kate Honda WSBK rider Jonathan Rea from Northern Ireland. Rea has been included in testing in place of the injured Casey Stoner, as it is likely he will replace the Australian at the forthcoming rounds. The Yamaha Factory Racing squad will be present with Jorge Lorenzo and Ben Spies, as will the satellite squad, Monster Yamaha Tech 3, with Cal Crutchlow and Andrea Dovizioso. Yamaha has confirmed that Lorenzo will test its 2013 prototype.

LCR Honda MotoGP’s Stefan Bradl, as well as San Carlo Honda Gresini’s Álvaro Bautista will both be testing on their satellite RC213V Honda’s as will Bautista’s teammate Michele Pirro on board his FTR-Honda CRT effort. The only other CRT bike present will be that of NGM Mobile Forward Racing with Texan rider Colin Edwards. The Ducati Team and its satellite affiliates have decided not to test tomorrow, as Valentino Rossi will be doing a private test in Misano this Tuesday and Wednesday.

In addition to the regular riders, MotoGP Safety Officer and ex-MotoGP racer Loris Capirossi will be testing a raft of available bikes, and Moto2™ rider Mike Di Meglio will have his first run out on a GP machine with the Avintia Blusens squad on their BQR-FTR.
