Pedrosa on title chances and Stoner comeback

Repsol Honda Team’s Dani Pedrosa took time out his schedule before the Gran Premio Iveco de Aragón to visit fans in Barcelona, where he spoke exclusively to about the final part of the season.

The Wednesday evening before heading inland to the popular Aragón circuit, Pedrosa was greeting fans and handing out autographs in an event staged by personal sponsors Alpinestars. It was there that he told that despite his deficit of 38 point to Lorenzo after the disastrous last race, there is still everything to play for: “All races are important and so far we have tried to fight to the fullest. This is another important race, and we’ll try to carry on as before, riding well. Aragón is a nice track, where I hope to have many fans to encourage us.”

Speaking on the imminent comeback of his injured teammate Casey Stoner, and whether the Australian could be of any help in his title challenge, the Spaniard said: “We will have to see in what condition he comes back, how he is physically and what his pace is. Now, it is difficult to know whether or not it can be a help, but he is certainly a rider who wants to win races.”

Whether or not he predicts a close final in Valencia is tough for Pedrosa to say at this point: “Well, we are at Aragón before and after that there are four races remaining, so I have to go one by one and try to do my best until the last race.”
