Folger fastest in Australia warm-up

Folger fastest in Australia warm-up

In the warm-up for the AirAsia Australian Grand Prix it was Mapfre Aspar Team Moto3’s Jonas Folger who went fastest ahead of Miguel Oliveira and Maverick Viñales.

Folger set the fastest time of 1.38’592 ahead of Estrella Galicia 0,0’s Oliveira, who crashed during the session. Behind the leading duo was Blusens Avintia’s Viñales, who looked much improved over yesterday as he hopes to make up for a less than ideal qualifying. Red Bull KTM Ajo’s Danny Kent went fourth fastest again, as he has done in almost every session, ahead of AirAsia-SIC-Ajo’s Zulfahmi Khairuddin.

RW Racing GP’s Luis Salom and Red Bull’s pole-sitter Sandro Cortese ended the morning sixth and seventh respectively. San Carlo Gresini Moto3’s Niccolò Antonelli, who crashed heavily yesterday, has been ruled out of today’s race with a strong headache, while Moto FGR’s Josep Rodriguez will also not race due to a torn ligament and muscle in his right leg.
