Corti to ride as wildcard for Avintia Blusens on Inmotec

The Avintia Blusens team has announced that it will field Italian rider Claudio Corti as a wildcard in this weekend’s Valencian GP on board its Inmotec part-carbon chassis.

Corti, who previously rode with Italtrans Racing Team in Moto2™ before splitting with the team after Aragón, is being sponsored by Spanish company J.Juan, which manufactures brake systems, hydraulic parts and cables. The Italian will make his MotoGP debut at the Valencian GP in order to help the team with its ambitious Inmotec project.

Claudio Corti

"Being able to race in MotoGP with the Avintia Racing team and being backed by J.Juan is great news for me. This season has not been easy, but to end the year this way compensates, in part, all my efforts. I am thrilled to have this opportunity and I can assure you that I will try to make the most of it. I am not fooled and must be aware that it will be complicated, because I will be in the top category, but that motivates me even more. I will try to get the best out of the bike and do my best."
