Czech rider Lukas Pesek will be back in the MotoGP™ World Championship in 2013 as he signed a deal with Came IodaRacing to ride a BMW-powered Suter in the premier class.
In 2013 Lukas Pesek will be reunited with Giampero Sacchi, his team manager at Derbi when he took two GP wins in the 125cc class during the 2007 season, as he was picked to complete the Came IodaRacing Team line-up for next season.
IodaRacing Project boss Sacchi commented: "Lukas's return is very welcome - he wrote some great pages of Derbi's history in 125cc working alongside some of our current team members. It's a tough challenge lying ahead of him but I'm sure he can do well in the premier class."
"I'm very happy to get this opportunity," said Pesek. "I have to thank Giampiero Sacchi, with whom I share some great memories of my 125cc years. Racing in MotoGP is definitely not an easy task, I'll be up against the best riders in the world - it's a big step for sure but I'll give my best!"
