Rossi leads in social networks
Valentino Rossi is still an idol for the fans despite his recent results on track. On Twitter he now has more followers than motor racing stars such as Fernando Alonso, Jenson Button and Jorge Lorenzo.
The loyalty of Valentino Rossi´s fans is clearly reflected in the numbers of followers that he has accumulated in social networks, a unit of measure that has gradually become the reference for the popularity of any public figure.
The Italian has already surpassed the figure of 1,500,000 followers on twitter, an amount double that of the current MotoGP™ World Champion, his Yamaha teammate Jorge Lorenzo, who has 650,000 followers.
In just a 13 month presence on Twitter, Rossi has already surpassed Fernando Alonso, who totals nearly 1.4 million followers and Britons Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton.
You can follow Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo on their accounts @ValeYellow46 and @lorenzo99. If you want to stay up to date with information about the MotoGP™ World Championship, become a follower of the official twitter account @MotoGP.
