Simón satisfied with "very productive" test
Moto2™ is powered byThe Avintia Aspar rider improved his times on the final test day in Jerez and left the circuit happy with the work accomplished over the three days.
While in the intermediate category he has always been competetive, Julián Simón left the Andalusian track on Saturday having completed plenty of work and feeling prepared for the battle that will begin this April in Qatar.
The Spanish rider will now have some time off before the final test next March, again at Jerez, an appointment that should prove to provide more information on which teams and riders will be protagonists in 2012.
Julián Simón (1’42.75) 62 laps:
"Being able to ride with good weather and the track in good condition during these three days has been really productive. This season I am learning the bike and getting familiar with it and the electronics, and the tests have been essential for this. We’ve taken full advantage of the three days and, just as when we finished the test at Valencia, in Jerez feeling really confident that we are moving in right direction."
"We haven’t reached the maximum the bike can do yet (we still need to improve the front end) but we are still fast and competitive. Today (Saturday) I posted some great times and I have been consistent. That makes me positive that ahead of the next test and, of course, before the first race in Qatar."
