A slightly damp morning track at Jerez with a few rays of sun saw Johann Zarco post the fastest time in the Moto2™ morning warm-up before the Gran Premio bwin de España.

JiR Moto2´s Zarco continued to impress in wet rack conditions as he set the quickest time of 1.54´600 ahead of GP Team Switzerland´s Randy Krummenacher and QMMF Racing Team´s Ant West, who has also shined on a damp Jerez track. Pole sitter, Team CatalunyaCaixa Repsol´s Marc Marquez, finished fifth, over a second off Zarco.

The highlight of the morning was however Pons 40 HP Tuenti rider Axel Pons, who made an incredible save after being bucked of his bike.

The session was run with full wet tyres, which bodes well for the field, as rain is predicted for this afternoon´s race, which commences at 12:20pm local time.
