Bradl relieved to resolve front end problem

Bradl relieved to resolve front end problem

It was a reassured Stefan Bradl who left Jerez on Monday evening, having finally resolved issues with the front end of his LCR Honda MotoGP machine.

The struggle had been clearly evident at the private test in Austin, but Jerez’s poor weather since Saturday prevented the German from solving it properly. However, with the short amount of dry running time available to the field in the closing stages of Monday, he was pleased with the team’s progress.

“We just had one and a half hours in the dry,” Bradl explained to “It’s been tough to go out and go immediately fast. Some guys could improve their lap times, including me, and I could feel that the changes we made yesterday afternoon.

“We have found the right direction to get my front feeling back. Basically we were playing with setup, finding some more grip and confidence in the front which is very important for me because I had a crash yesterday. Finally we found something good and the lap time is not so bad.”

Bradl is riding the sole LCR bike in the field and looks to be in a strong position to challenge for a maiden MotoGP™ rostrum result this year.
