Bradl rectifies issue with front end

Stefan Bradl will start his 2013 MotoGP™ season from a top five grid slot at Losail, having sorted out an issue with the front end of his LCR Honda MotoGP bike.

The German – Moto2™ World Champion of 2011 – heads into his second campaign of MotoGP quietly confident, although some general questions do remain.

“We’ve done a good job, I’m pretty happy,” Bradl told in the paddock of the Losail International Circuit. “We found a good step with the bike in first practice and even another one in the 15-minute qualifying session. We have found the right direction and we’re prepared for the race so far.

“I’m quite happy with the Soft tyre; we still don’t know how it will be after 15 laps but that will probably be a question mark for everybody. We have almost completely sorted out our front tyre issue, which is a big step for us, so we could improve there and it has made us more competitive. That’s the key to being fifth today.”

Bradl’s best Qatar race to date is that of 2011, when he won in Moto2 after starting the nighttime event from pole position.
