Luthi makes statement with quickest FP3 time

The Saturday morning action at the Gran Premi Aperol de Catalunya was completed with Thomas Luthi on the pace in the Moto2™ class, ahead of Pol Espargaro and Esteve Rabat.

Interwetten Paddock Moto2 Racing rider Luthi set the fastest time with a 1’46.909 lap, 0.075s ahead of Tuenti HP 40's Espargaro and 0.25s in front of Espargaro’s teammate Rabat.

Also in the top five were standings leader Scott Redding on his Marc VDS Racing Kalex and Italtrans Racing Team's ever pacey Takaaki Nakagami, as the competition heated up ahead of Moto2™ qualifying - which takes place at 3.05pm local time this afternoon.

The intermediate class FP3 top ten was completed by Came IodaRacing Project's Johann Zarco, NGM Mobile Forward Racing's Alex de Angelis, Desguaces La Torre Maptaq rider Xavier Simeon, NGM Mobile Racing's Mattia Pasini and Aspar Team Moto2's Jordi Torres.
