Bradl shakes down new Honda at Aragon

Stefan Bradl became the first rider to sample the 2014 Honda chassis as he rode 15 wet weather laps at MotorLand Aragon on Tuesday.

Following some mileage on his more familiar LCR Honda MotoGP machine of this season, Bradl was the only rider to use the new chassis as Repsol Honda Team pairing Dani Pedrosa and Marc Marquez elected to remain in the garage for the duration.

“I tried the new machine,” the German told motogp.com. “It was just a shakedown, I would say. It’s pretty similar to the one we use. Obviously I cannot tell you too much in the wet conditions, we have to do a proper test in the dry.

“The plan is to do a proper test (on Wednesday), with the focus being to re-test the new machine to also to improve our setting with the 2013 bike.”

On Wednesday, the Honda outfits will be joined in Aragon by Yamaha and Suzuki.
