British MotoGP™ rider Cal Crutchlow has told motorcyclenews.com that he is excited and optimistic ahead of his switch to Ducati and his first test with the Desmosedici next week.
Crutchlow will make his debut for the Bologna factory in Valencia on Monday on the current GP13 Desmosedici and a slightly modified version during the three-day test in Valencia.
Speaking to MCN, the 28 year-old said: "I am excited and looking forward to it but I will be more interested to see what happens at the tests next year than next week. I don’t expect the bike to be competitive to win the first race next year and it is going to be a long process that I believe will take the two years that I have committed to them."
"I’ve never raced a Ducati, so obviously it is going to be a completely different feeling. I am excited and looking forward to it but I don’t expect and they don’t expect any miracles at the first test."
