Bradl confidence unaffected by early crash

Bradl confidence unaffected by early crash
Friday, 16 August 2013

Following on from his maiden MotoGP™ pole position and podium finish at Laguna Seca a month ago, Stefan Bradl was very much upbeat after ending the opening day of Indianapolis practice inside the top three.

The LCR Honda MotoGP rider, who has now been reconfirmed for the 2014 season, may have suffered a crash on Friday but soon knew why.

“We are in the top group again, so that is really satisfying for us,” the German told motogp.com during a video interview. “In the last practice I had a little crash at the beginning, but we have found out what the reason was for it; it was not a big problem because we were able to go out again and improve the lap time straight away.

“The track seems to have been in a better condition than it was on Friday last year, so I feel a little bit more comfortable with that. So far we have found a good base setting but we need to be ready for tomorrow. The track conditions can change so quickly, so the lap times will get faster for sure.”

Bradl added yet he is yet to make a decision regarding tyres for qualifying, mainly because track conditions are able to change quickly from one session to the next.
