I felt better after every lap, with each turn. It was primarily about getting to know this 600-cc motorcycle. My confidence got better from lap to lap. It is really fun to work with this bike, even in comparison to Moto3. You need more power while riding, especially when the changing direction. As of last week I have already upped my strength training. The machine is however more stable under braking than the Moto3 bike."
He continued: "In Moto3 I was already riding in a different style to my opponents. I brought the machine more upright on corner exit earlier in order to then accelerate better. Sure, for the Moto2 class, I will improve my riding style even further. But generally I'm on the right track. My first day was really successful Moto2.”
