Cycle News: Cecchinelli positive on new ECU

Wednesday, 20 February 2013

In an interview with American publication Cycle News, MotoGP™ Director of Technology, Corrado Cecchinelli has spoken about the initial adaptation of the Magneti Marelli ECUs, and given a positive outlook on their future: "The hardware is higher, to my knowledge, than anything else available. It will be on the market soon, but it is not so far. So the hardware will be higher. My perception of the software is that it is in between what CRT could have on their own, and the factories. So it’s, to me, not as high as the factories, but it’s better for the CRTs, because, after all, they can count on a big R&D structure that they cannot afford by themselves."
