Valentino Rossi confirms his presence at Sic Supermoto Day
In just nine days time the first edition of "Sic Supermoto Day" will take place at the Il Sagittario di Latina circuit.
Valentino Rossi has already confirmed his participation in the event organized in memory of Marco Simoncelli, from which all proceeds will go to the “Marco Simoncelli Foundation”. Nine-time world champion Rossi will run in tandem with another motorcycling great, Frenchman Thierry Van Den Bosch, four-time Supermoto champion.
The event will offer an endurance competition with an original format: 30 All Stars team will consist of a Supermotard rider, and a rider from either MotoGP, SBK, Motocross or similar, who will alternate 58 lap race.
The list of participants includes top Italian Supermoto riders like Ivan Lazzarini, Christian Ravaglia, Massimo Beltrami and Davide Gozzini, as well as international riders such as Adrien Chareyre, Boris Chambon, Mauno Hermunen, Devon Vermeulen, Pavel Kejmar or Thierry Van Den Bosch said.
Among the other competitors are MotoGP riders Andrea Dovizioso, Danilo Petrucci, Andrea Iannone and Karel Abraham, including the recently retired Max Biaggi from SBK.
