Bradl rounds off Sepang visit in fifth

LCR Honda’s Stefan Bradl dedicated the majority of the final day at Sepang to working on race distance pace.

His quickest lap time (2’00.164) came earlier in the Friday session when the German took to the track on soft rubber.

Bradl took advantage of the slightly improved track conditions to focus on the overall package of his RC213V.

Bradl commented, “I am quite happy about the job we made in the last three days. It’s tough to work in these conditions, it was 37 degrees today, and the guys made a very good job to adjust the bike. Early in the session we went out on soft rubber and afterwards we kept working on long-run performance.”

“Today my pace was not as good as yesterday because I was not comfortable enough on hard front tyre but, overall, this test has been quite positive for us, as we are not far off the pace and we have the potential to ride in the front.”

The LCR Honda team now move to Qatar for their last preseason test from 7th-9th March.
