Hanika: ‘I think we’ve done a fantastic job’

Karel Hanika was extremely pleased as the third and final day of Jerez Moto3™ testing drew to a close in Jerez.

For 2014, the reigning Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup champion steps up to the World Championship with Red Bull KTM Ajo, alongside Jack Miller. On Thursday, the Australian topped the timesheet while the Czech newcomer was third quickest.

“This last day has not been too bad,” Hanika comments. “I think we did a fantastic job; we tested new parts and different setups and I think we finally found a really good one. Now we can go faster and more consistent, which I think is good and which means we're ready for Qatar.”

Hanika joins the World Championship as the most successful Rookies Cup champion to date, with the junior series having been in existence since 2007.
