Zarco sets the pace in final morning outing

The Moto2™ FP1 session at the Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas concluded with Johann Zarco (AirAsia Caterham) ahead of his rivals. He was joined by Xavier Simeon (Federal Oil Gresini Moto2) and Esteve Rabat (Marc VDS Racing Team) in the top three.

Rabat also registered a late fast lap to end up third by 0.187s, just ahead of Dominique Aegerter (Technomag carXpert) and Simone Corsi (NGM Forward Racing) in the top five.

Takaaki Nakagami (IDEMITSU Honda Team Asia) , Maverick Viñales (Pons HP 40), Mattia Pasini (NGM Forward Racing), Anthony West (QMMF Racing Team) and Jordi Torres (Mapfre Aspar Team Moto2) were also in the top ten, with West riding away from a late crash.
