Vazquez leads the charge early on Saturday

The FP3 practice for the Moto3™ class at the Gran Premio bwin de España was led by Efren Vazquez, from Jack Miller and Alex Marquez.

A rapid time of 1’46.618 put Efren Vazquez (SAXOPRINT-RTG) 0.445s clear of Miller in second. Vazquez’ lap also set a new circuit best lap for the Moto3 class at the Jerez circuit, previously held by Alex Rins (Estrella Galicia 0,0). Marquez was 0.490s down on Vazquez’ time in the FP3 session.

Niklas Ajo (Avant Tecno Husqvarna) and Romano Fenati (SKY Racing Team VR46) completed the top five, both within 0.671s of Vazquez.

Miguel Oliveira (Mahindra Racing), Jakub Kornfeil (Calvo Team), Francesco Bagnaia (SKY Racing Team VR46), Enea Bastianini (Junior Team GO&FUN) and Isaac Viñales (Calvo Team) completed the top ten.

The cooler morning session allowed the majority of riders to improve their times, though Viñales was unable to improve on his FP1 time and remained in tenth.
