NGM Forward Racing team ready for home round

The Gran Premio d'Italia TIM is a big occasion on the MotoGP™ calendar for the NGM Forward Racing team - who are based just 90km from Mugello in the town of Santa Maria a Monte, Pisa.

For the World Championship outfit run by Giovanni Cuzari the visit to his native Italy is therefore a chance to impress the home crowd and that job falls to Spaniard Aleix Espargaro and American Colin Edwards in the premier class, as well as Italians Simone Corsi and Mattia Pasini in Moto2™.

Mugello is a favourite circuit for Espargaro and Edwards’ and both riders hope to get a good result after a tough weekend in France last time out.

“I've always liked Mugello,” states Espargaro, “I really enjoy the fast corners there and the fast changes of direction. We will struggle on the long straight in terms of top speed but in general I think that the layout of the track should suit our Forward Yamaha well. I’m really looking forward to get back on the bike and to getting a good result.”

Edwards added, “After the difficult weekend we had in France, I look forward to the Italian Grand Prix, where we will test some new parts. Mugello is a very demanding track and it’s crucial to find a good set up for the bike.”
