Cortese ‘extremely comfortable’ at Brno test

Sandro Cortese is in a highly positive as he conducts a test session at the Brno circuit. The German rider and his Dynavolt Intact GP team headed to the host circuit of the Czech Grand Prix following the latest round of the season in Italy last Sunday.

Although the Moto3™ World Champion of 2012 has suffered a number of crashes in race weekend sessions this year, he is now one of only three riders – the others being championship-leading Marc VDS Racing Team duo Tito Rabat and Mika Kallio – to have scored points in each of the six Grands Prix thus far.

After departing Mugello, Cortese headed to Brno where he was able to rack up no less than 300 kilometres on Wednesday. The programme included looking into geometry settings on the chassis, a new swingarm and the latest new tyres from Dunlop.

“I felt extremely comfortable,” Cortese commented on Wednesday. “We have tried a lot of things. It has been good, just to be able to ride for myself and also to develop myself - on a Grand Prix weekend there is not so much time. I think we have made good progress. Tomorrow we want to collect more data in order to be well prepared for Barcelona.”

Cortese continues his Brno test on Thursday, prior to a free weekend before Barcelona.
